Anybody loaded up on Pardner Youth barrels?
« on: April 06, 2006, 05:07:37 PM »
I have an old Pardner Youth in .410 and I see I can get 28, 20, and 12 guage barrels for it. Funny thing is, they're all in 22". I'm thinking a 12 guage in the youth receiver with a 22" barrel will weigh about 5 pounds. Yeesh! Time for a limbsaver!

I was just wondering if anyone had done this and if they liked their 28, 20, etc. after getting the barrels. I gotta think that setup in 28 would be a total sweetheart.

Any feedback?

Never fired one in 410, but I do have the 20 and 12ga.  Yes, they are great walkin' around/carry guns.  Also, yes, the 12ga has a bit of kick to it.  A Sims pad would do wonders for that.  Sometime in the future, I hope to have a 12ga in 18 1/2 in.  I was gonna pick one up from the factory, but it is more economical to just have a gunsmith cut one down.  I haven't decided  yet if I will just buy a whole NEW Pardner for this or try to find a good used one.  I would like to have it on a frame that is dedicated to it, alone.

Hope this helps
