Good luck Mitchell, but most of all... don't forget to enjoy your self. It will make basic seem alot easier if you enjoy what you are doing. Oh.. and unless you like doing alot of extra PT... don't rile up a Drill Sgt. An extra 2 or 300  4 count push ups and really make your day long.

Keep your head down and your powder dry, Mitchell.

Have a good attitude and you'll do OK. You will be bunking with different folks from all over the nation, so keep an open mind. Going through boot is a lot easier if you do it with new friends.

Have fun and check in when you can.

Good luck, I spent a little time at Ft Carson, not a bad place at all. When I was there they still had Mules (I kid you not) used them to pull the 105 towed, and there was a MOS of Mule Skinner.   Good luck and where else can you get paid to go hunting?  Larry

Don't let your guard down, that's when all hell breaks loose. Take full advantage of getting an education when time permits while your in or saving for it later, you will never regret it.

You have the oppertunity to learn a lot about life and people.  Your experiences are what you make them, your attitude is the most important thing you have.  I spent 20+ years in the Air Force and never regretted it.  It made me what I am today.  The people I met and the experiences I had will remain with me the rest of my life.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
