Classic Arms Twister
« on: April 08, 2006, 04:07:50 PM »
I posted this on the rimfire forum, but it occurs to me that this may be the place for this question.

Today I became the owner of a Classic Arms Twister complete with the fake book it is stored in.  It is a two barrel .22 long rifle pistol, where the barrel rotates to take the second shot.  It has a trigger like some of the old time revolvers without a guard.

I don't think it is all that old, most likely 50 years or less.  Seems fairly well made, and is solid and heavy.

I don't see any reason to shoot this gun, but I am interested in some history etc. if possible.

Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

Classic arms kits can still be bought but I think they are
black powder only. I have a pepperbox and a New orleans Ace from them. I think that they used to import some cartridge guns
from Italy.

Thanks.  I found a reference to them on google, giving a report on a kit from Dixie Arms.  I don't know if they still make them or not.

Thanks for the reply!
