250 ackley magnum improved

i have been a 250/3000 savage fan for years. doing some research on the 250 savage ackley improved(40 degree) i saw a brief reference to the 250 ackley magnum improved. i have never heard of it. do any of you have any information or can you direct me? thanks in advance.

I just looked that one up in my editions of Wolfe Publishing's "Wildcat Cartidges I and II". Layne Simpson did an article on it in that book. He liked it and quoted P.O. Ackley as being very impressed with the performance. I have never had one but shot with a guy that had the 22-250 Ackley Improved. It worked great. It easily equalled my 220 Swift in performance. I imagine that the 250 A.I. would be a great wildcat. Good luck. Mart.
