Star1Pup,
The museum is the John Hunt Morgan home in Lexington, Kentucky. It is located just east of the Transylvania University Campus in down town Lexington. If you chose to visit, also check out the museum at Transylvania University and the Mary Todd Lincoln Home. All three are within a 5 block area. The medical section of the Transylvania Museum is very interesting. Many Civil War doctors received their training at Transy.
Also close are the Henry Clay home, White Hall and Whitehaven, a KY State Park that was the home of one of Clay's nephews.
The Kentucky State Armory is in Frankfort, KY. It is about 50 miles west of Lexington. The Armory has a large collection of Civil War Era weapons and accoutrements.
