I  was comeing home from school (just got off the bus) when i saw some crows sitting there looking at me. So i when i got home got my new 2200mag and put a crosman flat in it. Came back to my first shot at 45yards and miss and now the were up in a tree. most had gone out of range but one kept on sitting there. load and put 5 pump in it for a 30yard open sight shot and hit it in the wing knocking it out the tree. still was not dead but a head shot did it.
With a good gun you can geter done!! 8)

Good job on your kill.  a dome pellet might fly farther with less drop? good shooting! Keep us posted on your next victim :)

Don't know where you're located, but around here crows are considered migratory birds and are regulated by seasons. Maybe you should see if you're violating game laws before you start popping birds out of trees. By the way, a GOOD shot killls game quickly and cleanly. Find out how far away you can consistantly keep pellets in a tight enough group to make a head shot, then don't exceed that range. That is, of course, assuming that you are not killing migratory birds illegally.

first this is a old post and i have got a scope and there is now one shot kills on nutters, nutra, and starlings now. 2 they were inseasons when i killed them(November eleventh to February eighteenth) i kill it on jan 1. 3 with this gun (2200mag) a body or head shot will kill most game up to 35yards with a flat pellet and were i had hit was high on the back.

Really breaks my heart to see a crow killed illegally......

Do you know how and why the crow got re-classified as a migratory bird?
