Hello,

Anybody knows what is minimal focus distance for ZEISS 3-9X40 and SHOTGUN version? Is there is any possibility to buy SHOTGUN version with MilDot recticle?

OK I'm with ya.
Have heard air rifles can be destructive on rifle scopes so an air rifle scope may be a better choice but you may already know this.
6 or 7 yards should be no problem to focus. Paralax is another issue.
Hope this helps and welcome to GBO.

Thank you for yours answer KillDeer:) Is there is any difference between SHOTGUN version and "normal" of these riflescopes - I mean difference in focus distance. I am reseller in POLAND and I import riflescopes from United States. In Poland we have many air rifle users and it is very popular sport. How to contact directly with someone from Optic Zone to get price for these ZEISS items? Is there is any chance to get SHOTGUN version with MilDot recticle?

Hello,

I have got answer from ZEISS about minimal focus distance for 3-9x

"The minimal focus distance would be a field of view of 11.3 m at 100 m (33.9 ft at 100 yards) for shotgun and rifle. "

I can not understand it - is it security crypted message or my english is too poor to get interested answer.
I have to be sure for 1000% taht focus distance will be for range 10 - 15m

Best Regards,
Grzegorz Kazimierowicz

Field of view is how wide the view is at a particular distance.
I am looking through a new Zeiss 3.5-10x44 and it will easily focus to 4 meters no problem.

Is there is any ZEISS riflescope with reticle like that?:
http://www.nickel-ag.com/en/products/scopes/rt.aspx

It is cold something like "lead dots" or "heavy horizontal bars". It is very strange reticle, because each bar is adjustment . It is for running target from left or right side. Maybe you know some other manufacture taht can put this reticle into their scope. I need  zoom form 4 to 16, 20 or 24 and objective diameter 50 or 56mm.
