replacement stocks & forearms for H&R and NEF
« on: April 15, 2006, 02:05:11 AM »
I am looking for information regarding replacement stocks & forearms for H&R and NEF single-shot shotguns.  I haven't had any luck searching this site for info, and H&R1871 doesn't reference it on their site so I am starting a "new" thread.  Can anyone help?

Furniture for my H&R 088
I contacted H&R1871 and was told that since my shotgun was made by their predecessor, they couldn't help me.  That was it.  They didn't indicate whether or not a latter-day stock set would fit my H&R 088 from 1986.  Does anyone know what the interchangiblity of old and new is?

It is my belief and understanding that the buttstocks are exactly the same and do interchange. If the forearm is the type that is held on with a screw instead of snapping on (2 types were made) then the forearm should fit fine also....<><....

Keep an eye on the classifieds here and they are always selling on ebay as well. MSP is right about them bolting right up. you could also order some really nice ones from gunstocks inc.

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun
