Check out the link below. A "standard" Browning BPCR in .45-70 (was incorrectly listed as .45-75) sold for $2075 on GunBroker.

Hey there Ray,

I was discussing the price with another shooter and he feels the price was reasonable due to the quality of the wood. He has a good point. I just did not think the wood premium was worth as much as $400, but may be all wet on the subject. Prices are certainly going up.

Texas Mac,

After perusing the pictures of the Browning 1885 am surprised that the wood is the determining factor for the price!

If the quality of the wood determines price than the Browning .40-65 and .45-70 in my accumulation are very valuable!
