How long will this great caliber be neglected or am I ignorant of something (besides the expensive stuff like the Swift, Woodleigh, etc)?

Surely Hornady and/or Nosler have plans to put something in the pipeline.......hmmmmm?

Let's see, how about a 130 IB BTPT from Hornady and a 150 Accubond from Nosler? :lol:

I understand that an Accubond is coming out, last time I heard the weight
was not 100%, but probably 130GR.

Barnes has a 130 but I think its one of the homoginized kind. I personally don't see the need unless you want to shoot one of the Mags. Like Win. Rem or the 6.5-284. The others never get much over 2900 fps, which is pretty well covered by plain old bullets. :wink:

I really don't see the need fer them. Any decent 120gr. i use Speer for deer. Barnes makes a 130gr. and Nosler has the 125gr. Partition, they should take out most any big game in N America.

Bullets fragment at high velocity. For a 6.5 Swedish (and other similar calibers) there is no need for bonded bullets. For some very high velocity magnum, yes.

I have used the 120 Nosler BT a number of times with good success in caribou. The last few I've killed were taken with 140 SSTs and those did considerable fragmentation at distance even though they were started at less than 2600. The similar looking but bonded InterBond would probably have been better in this situation. I suppose a Partition or even a Grand Slam would work about as well also. They do make IBs and ABs in a bunch of versions though, so maybe?

I'm not sure theres a need for a bonded bullet even in the 6.5-284. I've shot several deer and a couple elk with my 6.5x06 and 140 gr Hornadys. I'd be hard pressed to find anything wrong with them. Yet I keep thinking it might be nice to have a 129 gr Interbond, but don't know why. A friend of mine, years ago, shot a 264 Win Mag with Sierra bullet's, 140 gr I think. He killed plenty of deer and elk without bullet problems.

Probally the only difference you'd notice on well placed shots is the cost of the bullets! I got to thinking about this very thing the other day and looked at some Swift bonded bullets. Hornadys shoot very well, have never failed me and are a lot cheaper.

My elk huntin' pard had a 6.5 Rem Mag. He loaded 129 Hornadys. I once watched him roll a good sized cow down the mountain with a single shot. I'm pretty sure she never felt the ground when she hit it. We don't know how the bullet performed, we never found it. :-D

Swift uses a Juenke machine to help insure every bullet flies the same. They only have 2 lines of bullets and utilise very high quality control standards. 30ish cents for a bonded bullet with a .571 bc strikes me as a bargain.

I've always likes Hornady bullets They kill game very well and they are cheap compared to other brands. But thats the way I feel.

I believe the question was who makes a Bonded Bullet, not whether or not he needs one. That is why I mentioned the fact that Nosler will offer one later, & it will probably be a 130Grain. First of all, I do not know what vel. Golsovia is able to get with his 6.5 or which cartridge it is. I agree that with a 6.5X55 or even some hotter rounds you don't NEED a Bonded Bullet, but who cares if that is what the shooter wants.
And you can shoot Elk with a 264 or bigger rounds like the 6.5STW without a bonded bullet, but I can see the advantage in some situations for a Bonded Bullet.
killdeer, I agree that the new Swift is a bargain. This bullet has great possibilities in the new Sendero .264WM. The bonded part is nice if you
shoulder shoot a big animal, but what I really like the BC this bullet has
for it's weight & I would buy the bullet just for that reason if it will group.
If anyone knows of a standard bullet of this weight with a BC that high, please post it! Yep, it's a bargain with all of the specs. considered & besides, most shooters are going to have another gun for volume shooting anyway. The price of this bullet being a problem for a hunter is
laughable anyway when you go on a hunting trip & every time you pull up to the gas pumps it is $75.00. :roll:
