well finally made my first trip of the soft water season today. i made my first stop at a creek on the side of hwy 522 that i have drove by a 1000 times but never stopped. first cast had something swirl the surface by my spinner. broke my line later when i discovered that i had bad line on my rod, so i grabbed my laker rod and made a few casts with it when i broke my leader, so i thought not a good start 2 lost spinners in 5 minutes. so i worked my way don the creek with not much luck then finally i caught my first ever speckled trout. man those things can put up a good fight. that was all i caught out of there.
then it was on to wilson lake for some laker fishing was out there for about 2 hours with the boat but no luck. then it was off to the wolf river for some crappie fishing. it was 8 oclock by the time i got there so i didnt think i would catch 2 much but i managed these 2 crappie
so i caught 2 of the fish i set out to catch today just the lakers that eluded me maybe next time.
