Range Report 22-250
« on: April 23, 2006, 03:33:27 PM »
I should have followed the hallowed Handi FAQ's.

I was closing in on a 50gr. Vmax load, around an inch @ 100 yds., but had that nagging feeling it could work better.

I finally, after a year, pulled the stock and hosed the lockworks out with carb cleaner. Added a touch of lube and the result:

Four into .68", three into just over .25"

Lesson learned  Listen to the Handigods :toast:  :toast:

Thanks Tim, Mac, Fred, SS and all the others.

Looking good indeed :agree: I don't seem to hear much from our 22-250 Handi owners for some reason, but glad you posted your results.
I have been eyeballing a 22-250 Stainless locally now for a few months....it's hard to resist :)
Keep it up.

Thanks Aaron,

I'd probably go with the 24" ultra barrel if I had to do it over again.
The short bull loses some velocity.

Never could get it to shoot the WW white box, I think they are just to hot for the frame.

Now to get the postal card shot.

You have the Stainless Bull model, right?
Seems like the last I remember someone posting about their 22-250, the WWBs didn't do so hot either. Guess it only runs in the 223Rem family.
I forgot, what did you scope it with again Rick?
