Beautiful Guns ????
« on: April 24, 2006, 05:05:26 AM »
Beautiful and expensive rifles do not always make good shooters.  I have a Remington Model 7600 and it is a great shooter MOA at 100yds.  Unforunately it is not the most beautiful rifle in the world.  Although the more I shoot it the prettier it becomes.

I have 2 rem 7600's, 1 is a .35 rem carbine and the other is a .35 whelen. Both of these guns shoot great and handle great, so they are beautiful to me. I have several gun's that are prettier but do not perform as well as the 2 remingtons, that is why they stay at home most of the time when the other's are out hunting. Good luck with your 7600.

'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" that being said my Savage 99`s
are truly guns of great beauty in design, function, and how they feel to
   the hand.

I've never understood the idea that the 7600's aren't a pretty gun...I think they are.  They aren't a bad looking gun...

52 years ago my 760 may have been ugly, but it has been hitting what it was aimed at ever since and it's gotten a little prettier with each round. It's just about beautiful now.  :)

I "prettied-up" my 7600 by having my best deer to date (201 pound, 140" 14 point) painted on the stock. Although, I think she was pretty before...

Thanks! Although the photo really doesn't do it any justice.
