Where have all the Contender Carbines gone?
« on: April 24, 2006, 05:45:54 AM »
Is someone hoarding all the 21" and Super 16 barrels in preparation for the looming apocalypse?

Seriously, I'm watching the ads here, Eds, eBay, and Handgun Hunt, and I'm just not feeling like the carbine barrels are out there. If you know of a good source, please post it. I've got a Super 16 45/70 I do not enjoy shooting that I'd love to replace with something - I just can't find the something!

I just bought a 21" .17HMR barrel from Contender Cache. Very good experience doing business with them.

I could never get Ed to answer an email or his phone.

I plan on buying a 7-08 barrel for my Encore frame from them as well.

Hope this helps..........Joe

I picked up a factory 23'' bbl in .204 ruger , having a ball with it , super fast and very accurate , with 32 gr. can get 4100 fps , with 39 gr can get 3700-3800 , shot a group the other day that  went .250 !! no recoil at all . Got it at cabelas , I believe they have them in stock.
