Trouble in Mayberry...
« on: April 25, 2006, 05:10:41 AM »
My wife just called me and told me that the local Sheriff
just found a Latino man hanging from a bridge not far from my house.
As I live in the middle of no-where, this is kind of un-settling to me.
Rumor has it that it looks to be a hate crime. With all of the illegal
alien stuff going on in the news, this bothers me even more.
I know there are many small hate groups in my area, but I never
would have thought any of them would have went this far. I know this has
nothing to do with firearms, But are any of you folks seeing anything like this starting up around you?

Slamfire - from the liberal perspective I believe you are absolutely correct but I feel the liberals already believe that gun owners are a hateful bunch.  Have you ever noticed how they immediately turn to 'gun control' if there is one used in a hate crime.  There are people who blame guns for everything.

Dan the Blather was one.  If you can remember the two worst crimes of the late 1990s, the Oklahoma City bombing and the Simpson/Goldstein knife murders, ol liberal dan used those crimes as a forum to call for more gun control - go figger.

Those who are weak minded and afraid will always fear and hate those who are not so afflicted and they hate us even more when we joyfully go about enjoying the shooting sports or carry our sidearms for defense, which really rocks their world.  The poor scared folks simply need to learn how to use and enjoy firearms and you will then see fewer of them and more of us.  One of the best things that has happened within the past 15 years is the increase in the number of women and girls taking a self motivated interest in shooting.

It doesn't have to be all the 'cop shooting' style and 'try for a center hit', and 'weaver stance' and 'grip' and all that, it can get right on down to 'betcha can't hit that soda can out there 4 out of 5 times and if ya can the hamburgers are on me'.  I really believe that adding women of all ages to our shooting sports membership is an credible bolster against liberal fanatacism.  JMHO.  Mikey.

Krochus..
I know that this particular incident is being looked at as a hate crime
and it seems to be being covered up a little. I am pretty sure that the local Sheriff would not really want it publicised but I am simply curious as to if this is something that may be a little more widespread and
those in power do not want anyone to know about it. This is the third incident I have heard about (2 not local to me) and now I am seeing
on the morning news about a game called Border Patrol that is spreading like wildfire over the internet. The object is to shoot illegals as they cross the border... The reason I posted it here is that folks on this forum are from all over the country and it is a great way to give and get information.
