Thinking of Downsizing.....
« on: April 25, 2006, 06:17:12 AM »
Hello all! :D  :D  :D

Well, I may have decided that enough is enough of this Handi-Holicism (is that a word?)

Here's what I have:
First frame: SB2 270, BC 45-70, 243, 50 muzzleloader
Second frame:  SB2 22 hornet, 17 remington
Third Frame:  SB1 44 mag
Fourth Frame:  17 HMR
Fifth Frame:  10 Guage

Thinking of downsizing, I have plenty of varmint calibers along with what I've listed above my Ruger #1V 223 is my baby so I'm contemplating getting rid of my Second Frame, 17 remington barrel, 50 muzzleloader barrel which I've had for several years never fired and maybe picking up a 35 whelen.  Oh, the dilemas....  any input?  Just kind of thinking out loud on the internet today I guess...

It's easy once you start getting a couple extra barrels, to make clutter. I know that, cause I got barrels laying everywhere :-D
PM me if you want to get rid of one or two.

Matt:

I go thru this very often..and usually wind up selling off different ones to aquire something new....It's been a enjoyable pass time of mine..but I have come to the conclusion of as soon as I think I have what I want..another caliber will peek my interest and I'm off in that direction for a-while..so it's a never ending situation really..if the cost of these rifles wern't as low as they are..it wouldn't makes it cost effective for me to do this..

Right now..I have only 2 favorite Handi's I won't part with..my 338-06 and my 280..and I will probably have 1 additional caliber later on this year....I'm down to 2 frames for the moment..and probably will pick up 1 more before I call it quits on the recievers..at least having 3 I can send in for different barrels or swap around with out messing with my main 2..

Good Luck with your delimma.. :D
