Getting set up for 38 super and have question?
« on: April 25, 2006, 11:08:15 AM »
I was going to order brass brass (not nickle)  Went online to Midway and found that they have competition 38 super brass and regular 38 super brass.

What is differance and what is best for my new S&W performance center DK1911 38 super?

What is a good mag and source for same.  I want 10 rounders.

I was going to use 115 gr FMJ (need to us up 3k I already have), later I plan to use 125 gr ZERO JHP.  Anybody want to share a pet load?

Any super advice is welcome.

Thanks guys!

Fred,

Buy the Starline brass, and most likely the .356" bullets are going to shoot more accurately than the .355". I'm not sure which you have the 3K of, but try them both some pistols do in fact prefer the smaller pills.
Privided the S&W 1911 accepts normal 1911 mags, the Chip McCkrmick   mags work very well, and are not overly expensive, load wise the super is really easy to load for and accepts a wide array of powders. I'll leave the recipies to other folks.
