NEF Revolvers
« on: April 26, 2006, 04:23:49 AM »
Hi Folks

I came across an NEF Revolver yesterday. Has anyone shot one of these revolvers? How do they shoot as a target pistol? Until yesterday I ddid not know they were even in existance. Any info please!

Are you sure that what you have is not a starters/dog training pistol intended to fire blanks and blanks only?

Chuck Hawks says that NEF revolvers were made until 1999.

Here's an R22 that was for sale...

The NEF training revolvers were made in .22 and .32 cal blank.

It's amazing whatcha can learn with a google search!!!

I have owned a couple of NEF revolvers and have been very pleased.  While not the most fancy guns around, they did a good job for the money.  My last one I traded off to an old friend about five years ago for a old Winchester .22 rifle.  This gun was my first rifle given to me by my Father in 1957 and I had foolishly sold it to my friend when he needed one back in the late 60's.  I miss my little NEF revolver, but it was good to get my 'first' gun back home again.  44 Man

Are these revolvers you guys are talking about NEF's or H&Rs? I didn't realize any were ever made under the NEF name, only under H&R name. But then I learn new things regularly.

These Revolvers are sold under the stamped name of NEF. Their sides are very square adn resemble the Starter Pistols but are in fact usable weapons. Not the old H&R revolvers.

UPDATE: the left side has NEF Gardner MA. Don't remember if the NEF has periods are no but this is very close to the stamping.
