Maybe an Old Timer with a better memory can help.
« on: April 27, 2006, 03:52:30 AM »
I have an old, and really heavy, "O" press that I have been using since the 60's that is cast iron and painted black. Someone asked me who made it, and frankly I can't remember and I don't see any maker name on it. Does that "not very good description" bring any brand to mind. It's no big deal, but now I am curious as can be now as to who did make it.
Thanks, Qajaq59

I'm old.

From the very limited description (heavy and black) of your "O" press, it could easily be a Herter's.
Common sense is an uncommon virtue

Thank you wncchester.... That has been bugging me for a week, and for the life of me I couldn't remember. I'm old too obviously.  :)

First time I ever saw anyone actually handloading ammo was my neighbors dad using that same press. That was 1968..........I was captivated back then and it just stuck with me since. Old timer.....lol.
