Hogs in NM?????
« on: May 02, 2006, 11:51:28 AM »
:D I was inforned by a friend that we have Hogs here in New Mexico. I live in Albuquerque and would sure love the chance to hunt em. Can anyone give me any ideas on how I can do it here in the state or at least point me in the right direction. Your help sure would be appreciated. I love to hunt and have been doing it for 40+ years. Started in Ohio on my Grandpa's farm when I was 11 and been doing it from that day to this. raised hogs on his farm and had a 600# Hog that thought it was my dog. Darn thing followed me all over and smarter than most dogs and some humans i've known!   Seriously if u can help please let me know, Jess

I am down in Alamogordo. There are hogs up the road in the canyons around Bonito lake. I have also found sign in Jim Lewis canyon up past Weed, NM. While there are lots of Javelina, I have heard rumors of hogs around Lordsburg but have never driven over to see. It's been a couple years since I've run my dogs on them but this site is getting me motivated to get back into it. My last trip out, I had three dogs cut. One had to be put down and another took quite a few stitches. I have no patience for spot and stalk or I would gladdly offer to take you. Good luck!
