« on: May 03, 2006, 02:34:59 PM »
bought this scope for under 30 bucks to go on a 22 lr bolt action.scope came with flip up style scope covers.never heard of this brand.on the box it says they been making scopes since the 1950s.kinda looks like a tasco style.it has held up for 200 rounds so far.wanting to get another for a semi auto 22lr.
anyone own/have experience with this brand?thanks

Yep Nikko Sterling has been going for a long time. I have a couple of their early ones. 4x32 Special Sporting from the 1960's I guess one is OK the other something has come loose inside as you can hear it rattle.

The later ones come in different grades like Silver, Gold and Platimun. Personally I won't touch the later ones as I once brought a new Silver Crown whcih my .270 wrecked in about 60 shots. Despite beign returned it ame back no good but the dealer saw me right about it even if the importers didn't. On a rimfire it should be OK.
