Odd 12ga ammo

I remember seeing these awhile back.
Anyone tried any of this crazy stuff?

There were more, but I can't seem to find them. It was in a police/tactical catalog.

I have used the flare rounds before.  They worked.  Neat ammo on that sight, curious if any of it actually performes as advertised.

The Flame Thrower is what throws caution to the wind for me.

 How can this...
12 GA. “Flame Thower”
The 12 Ga. "Flame Thrower" round as pictured produces an enormous wall of fire for 250+ feet. The incendiary metal compound contained inside burns when fired at over 4000 degrees fahrenheit, showering your target in a momentary wall of flame.

... NOT be bad for a barrel?

Wow...Those are neat.  I like the Pirahna round...

This 12 gauge round contains dozens of razor sharp steel tacks that blast out at high velocity which virtually guarantees that there will no response from the perpetrator. Each round is buffed with #12 shot thus creating a double shock to the wound area. Absolutely will not harm your shotgun. To be used no closer than 10 feet and no further than 50 feet.

For the price of these rounds it would be cheaper to just load a roll of dime's into a shell .

I watched an episode of Wild West Tech and a load of dimes didn't do much damage at all to a hog carcass.  The buckshot was much much more impressive.  I suspect we would find the same if we ran tests on several kinds of this ammo.  Anybody got a hog carcass? :-D

This company must have bought out Blammo Ammo, who used to sell the same stuff back in the early 90's. They didn't even change some of the wording of the descriptions from what Blammo used to use.

Here is a scan of an old pic of a friend shooting the "Dragon's Breath" round. Appropriately enough for this forum, it was shot from my H&R Topper....

This ammo didn't damage the bbl, but I only shot about six rounds of it. We did start a small grass fire with it the day the above pic was taken. Lucky it was a rainy day.

The stuff comes right out of the muzzle a-blazin' - I just couldn't get the shutter to trip any sooner after I yelled "FIRE" :)
