.458Win Mag in a 458 Lott?

Is it safe/possible to shoot 458 WM in a rifle chambered for 458 Lott?

Absolutely! It is said to be one of the advantages of this wildcat.  If ammo is lost the 458 may be safely used in it's place. The 458 is pretty common in Africa evidently.. The greatest advantage is like velocities with reduced pressure.. I would be there would be some raw accuracy loss but for these cartridges purpose it is irrelavent.
