Frog123,
It's an adult air rifle. The wife uses a Beeman Super 12 in .20 caliber. It is a pre-charged pneumatic bolt action, repeating pellet rifle that shoots a .20 pellet over 1,100 fps. and is very accurate out to 75 yards(the farthest we've ever shot it on paper). It is powered by a detachable 400cc air bottle and has a 12 magazine. Beeman is just the importer, it is built in England by Theoben. I used a Beeman Crow Magnum IV also in .20 caliber last fall to take a nice tom, my first with a pellet rifle. It is a single shot powered by the HE gas spring system. I prefer it for hunting because you can have it loaded and cocked for longer periods of time than a "springer" rifle, without the fear of fatigue associated with conventional metal mainsprings. The bad part about the Crow Magnum is it takes over 60 pounds of cocking effort to cock it. It is for this reason the wife uses the Super 12. Hope this explains things. Lawdog
