I enjoy reading a good Conspiracy Theory...
« on: May 09, 2006, 09:35:36 AM »
Especially if I am knowledgable about the subject.  One thing that really annoys me is when hard facts are ignored, and emotion takes over.  For instance, a guy that was riding in the cab of the locomotive with me yesterday was reading the "Trudeau" book about Natural Medicines.  At times when I pointed out the authors mistakes, emotion took over and he would get mad.  Anyone else have these same experiences?

I have read that book and was wondering what you spotted as mistakes. Just curious to see another's take on it.

I personally haven't read it, but he started reading points that were interesting to him.  Some of them were crap, others were valid.  The only thing I remember was that the overall mantra of the book was the uselessness and total incompetence of the FDA and Drug companies.  I find it very annoying (And Michael Mooreish) when someone ignores the good (And everything has some good to it) and just totally slams the subject(s) into the ground just for reader reaction.
