Idaho varmits?    Yeah; we got a couple a squirrels (sage rats) roamin' the range here. Lots of rock chucks (marmots) if ya know where to go.  Big lava flows = rock chucks.  I suppose there's a reason for the lack of responses to your question..., no tellum valley is full of em! I've been goin' thru lots of 75 gr. v-max's, and 55 gr. spsx's if ya know what I mean!    xraze

I lived in Idaho for 5 years and they have plenty of varmits. My spring pasttime was prarie dogs or what we call "whistle pigs".  Lots of public land and thousands of whistle pigs. Plenty of rock chucks and yotes too. Never really saw a lot of ground squirrels.

No prairie dogs in Idaho to speak of except for maybe the far CE or SE corner of the state. You do have some Woodchuck in the northern part of the state and Yellowbelly Marmot throughout the state.
Idaho has lots of Ground Squirrels mostly in the southern part of the state. The closest place to get blacktailed Prairie dogs in any big numbers would be Montana or Wyoming.

I live close to Boise Idaho and we have praire dogs not ground squirrels. They are out on the plains and not in the farmers fields like the rare  ground squirrels are. Im not saying we dont have ground squirrels we just dont have the numbers like we do with the prarie dogs.
