I just got a .45/410 barrel ( 10" ) can I shoot 3" 410 shells in it? I also would like some loads that will work in this barrel. I don't need benchrest groups just good stout plinking loads. Thanks lost

Yes..3" is fine;probably preferred. My 14" likes the heavies much better than the 250 grainers and under. I usually load either a 300 grain hard cast gas checked or a 300 grain XTP using Hodgdon's data for H-110 and Lil'Gun. Check out their website at
www.hodgdon.com
... BTY, my barrel likes the smaller shot when using the .410..8's,8 1/2's, and 9's pattern the best.

yes,
spinafish
is right you can even go up to the 320gr. or better loads and load them light and slow and it's like a brick thru a glass window. If you need the loads for the real heavy stuff let me know in a PM and I will hook you up.
