Russian Contract '95 Win. parts value
« on: May 13, 2006, 05:37:27 PM »
i'm buying a '95 Winchester project gun off a friend for a couple hundred bucks. it started out as a .30-40 Krag model with a sewer pipe barrel. he was gonna buld it into a 7.62x54R sporter. he got the 7.62 Magazine and an original winchester factorry 7.62 barrel.but the magazine is slightly different, it fits but too tight to work properly. it's been collecting dust for a while, and he said he'd sell it to me if interested. and i am, will probably return it to .30-40 or .303. will sell the Russian parts, but what are they worth? the barrel is brand new original, hasn't had a round down it at all, and the mag is in likewise condition. think i'd get enough to buy or maybe swap for one of the barrels i want? i know the Russian '95s are very hard to find, especially in good condition, so i imagine new original parts would fetch a premium.
