Is the Uberti Sharps a good rifle?
I saw one this weekend, and thought to myself I like to have one of those.  But I have no experience with this brand.  What other rifles fall into this type.  Thanks Mike.

I looked at the  Pedersoli Sharps rifles when I was in the market for a single shot Sharps rifle. I had my hand on the Pedersoli but decided to order a Shiloh Sharps from Sharps rifles in Montana. I am glad I did, sure it cost me about double the price of the  Pedersoli, but the workmanship was far superior in my opinion. But I still think the Pedersoli's is a good rifle for the money.  :D

Thanks Redhawk1,

Just looked at the Shiloh Sharps web site.  I think you must be right, if I am going to spend that kind of money, might as well get the best.  Hard part is going to be deciding on a caliber with the Shiloh's.

I went with the 45-70 and it is a lot of fun. Sometimes I wish I had gone with the 45-90 or 45-110. But the good thing is, I can always send it back and have it rechampered if I ever really want it that bad. I do like being able to get 45-70 brass anywhere. I use Winchester brass with my BP loads, they have more room than the Remington brass for powder.  :D
