:cb2: Which 'er one I got in my hands when I'za shootin'!  :)

Sorry I know that isn't an answer, but I love all my lever guns. Don't know which one is my favorite. All mine are Marlins, so far, but I sure gotta itch for a BLR.

For plinking/playing/small game, my Marlin 357 Mag. For big game, one of my BLRs in 257, 308 or 358, whichever is most appropriate for the game being hunted.

Since it's a vote, mine is my Trapper in 45 Colt.  Numerous pigs, deer and one turkey have been felled with a 255 grain RNFP.  Short, light, handy and accurate.

My favorites are both Marlin Guide Guns - one in 44 Mag and one in 45/70, followed closely by a Winchester Trapper in .45LC.

Howdy, For starters, I have never met a lever action, that I didn't like. My currant love is a 1892 clone in 357 mag, big lever. Also wanted to say howdy to that guy in Dade City. Look a tad north, I am along the withlacootchi River in Bushnell. George alias "Mack The Knife"

For me, the three best RIFLES ever manufactured are the Savage 99, Winchester 88 and BLR (short action).  Among these, my current favourite is the BLR.

I have three and none are for sale EVER! My oldest is a Model 94 Winchester 3030 bought new in 1957, a Model 92 Winchester clone by Navy Arms in 357 mag. (I carry this one the most now) and a Marlin 1895 Cowboy in 4570 which is mostly for brush hunting (close quarters) for these big North Central Texas feral hogs. The 3030 is a carbine, the 357mag is a 24" octagon, and the 4570 is a 26" octagon. :D

Plain Jane, common every day Marlin 336 in .30.30 winchester......They usually sell for a decent price, and ammo at $8 buck a box is a plus.   I suspect the .30.30 and the remington coreloct is the combination that's killed more deer than any other out there......no way to prove this, but there were many....many....many......Marlins found under the christmas tree when I was a kid......

65 Mustangs......69 Camaro's.........and 336 Marlins........= All classics.....

Number 1, hands down for me, my older model Savage 99's. Number 2 is a tie between middle age 99's and Winchester 88.  My old Marlin 39A has got to fit in there somewhere too. GOOD SHOOTIN', Walt

Hard to pick just one.  I'm a Marlin guy for sure.  I guess if I had to pick a favorite it'd be my Marlin375.

I have a Marlin 336 ss  30-30 that is so sweet. It handles the rain, then freezing 0 rust ' easy to clean from the breach, plenty good for deer out a ways. :?

I'd have to say my Winchester 1895 Reproduction (1995) in 30-06.  It's a fun gun, well designed, and the history can't be beat.

It's tough, though, being a 35 Remington man.  If my Marlin 336 CS was a 336-A, it might be a different story...  Love those 24" barrels....

My favorite lever action, and actually my favorite gun, is my Model 1873 Winchester.  It was manufactured in 1891.

I hope my father didn't put too much money into it.  He paid $5 for it.  Of course that was about 1930 and that was almost a weeks pay for him.

I have one other lever action.  It is a Marlin 39A Golden Mountie.  It was manufactured in 1967.  I really like it too.

All I own are Marlins and my favorites are my two .444s.  One is circa 78' and the other circa 2002'.  I sure would not mind getting hold of a Savage, Winnie and BLR (270) in lever action one day.

My favorite levergun is my 38-55 Cowboy Marlin. Just picking it up makes me forget about my wifes headache!

VTDW - I once owned a BLR in 257 Roberts, saw the light and traded it on a great 45-70. Them thar Brownings just don't feel right to me.

All of them for various reasons. But the one I seem to instinctively grab as I walk out the door...is my .44Mag Trapper. It has taken 13 Whitetail. 1 Bull Elk, and one Black Bear in the time I have owned it. If I was concerned about longer range, the '94 BB in .356 is probably the best for anything up to Elk, but the .444 can do it all up to and including big brownies and moose. So if I could only have one and still be able to hunt everything that  I do, I would have to go with one of my six '94 .444's and, God forbid, probably the BlackShadow model:

Hands down my personal favorite?  reproduction 1860 Henry in 45 colt.  Several deer and a few wild hogs have fell to a 250 grain RNFP backed by 38 grains of black powder.
