Speaking of ceramiccleaning media…
« on: May 19, 2006, 06:59:39 PM »
Seems as if every time I dump the ceramic cleaning media into the colander to remove the rinse water, I spill some of the darned stuff on the floor.

Gets to be a PITA trying to pick up the little pieces, esp. w/ fingers that sometimes don’t work ass well as they should.

Was in the store tonight & saw a 15” x 25” mesh laundry bag. Hmm… On a whim bought it.

Got home & some brass was ready to get out of the media. As usual, I removed the Thumbler lid, stuck in the hose & let the water run for a few minutes to remove the crud from the media, brass, & Thumbler drum.

Next, I placed the bag over the drum & inverted it. PRESTO, the brass & media dropped out w/ none lost or winding up in the driveway.

After removing the brass, I placed the flattened media laden bag on a cookie sheet drain & dry.
