boy, not sure what to look for with the grooves you mention.....my thought was that maybe a base was available to take advantage of the taps used to mount the lyman peep.....quite a bit of sight support apparatus on the left side of the reciever for the overhang of the peep.....but what I am hearing from a local smith is that an overhanging scope supported on one side wouldn't be reliable for long.....to easily nudged out of zero, according to him....but still, I have to believe it can be done.....
it is a sweet shooter out to 100 yards.....and would love to max out its precision.....
