Has anyone used Norma's 160gr ALASKA ? I ran across a good buy on several boxes and bought them. They shoot great on paper but i haven't
tried them in the field. I suspect the're good on hogs but i haven't seen
a whitetail yet that needed that much bullet.

It'd take a very big hog to stop that bullet, it'll shoot end to end through any elk that walks. :wink:

MAYBE I'LL SAVE THEM FOR THAT " SOMEDAY WHEN I HAVE THE TIME AND MONEY " HUNT AND USE 140'S.
BY THE WAY, I PICKED UP ONE OF LEE'S SPECIALTY MOULDS FOR THE
6.5, I THINK ABOUT 170GR GAS CHECK. IT'S KINDA HEAVY BUT BOY IS IT NICE TO LOOK AT. I HOPE TO DO SOME LOADING SOON.

Well if'n you do go for elk, don't shoot one end for end, just because the bullet will travel that far, it's messy. :roll:
I'd like to find an nice 130 grain bullet mold for the 6.5. I think I saw one in a catalog once. It'd make a great bullet for my Arisaka carbine. :wink:
