Shovel Your Load

5,000 years ago Moses said, "Pick up your shovel, pack your
ass, mount your camel and I shall lead you to the Promised Land."

200-plus years ago, George Washington said, "Get off your ass,
use your shovel, clear the land, grow plants for camels and it will
be the promised land."

This week the Congress of the United States is saying,
"Si, Amigos, throw away your shovel, sit on your ass,
light your Camels. We're giving you the promised land."

....Or something like that....  :-D    

It is not really funny, but if I don't laugh about it, I might cry...

It is ironic, hardly funny.
I wish good for all, justice and fair play. I give nothing but ask that all assume the role of making for thierownselves a place of peace and well being.
I will not give place to any who would choose to take advantage of my good humor and determine that my meekness is weakness, that I am willing to allow another of any kind the advantage of displacing me with their will.
I would hope that any who would choose this place would assimilate into the mass and would deny any who would choose to do otherwise.

Very funny, but hardly accurate.  Unless something has changed, The House of Representatives is still a pretty substantial part of the Congress and that body has not pussied out as have too many in the Senate.
