« on: May 27, 2006, 04:14:45 PM »
I need some help with my gun please.  I have a Traitions Trapper hand gun.  The problem that I am having is, I have changed sights ( front and rear) I have tryed different patch thickness, different powders. This gun at 25 yrs is shooting about 3ins high.  How do I fix this problem. Also my gun has  a 1:20 twist. I have also shot round balls and still nothing. The gun caliber is 50. Thank for any help that I can get. :D

colorado get your self a new front blad from track of the wolfe, get the silver blade with brass base extra tall one, so you can file fit it to your front dovetale.then go to the range take a file and test shoot with your load and if it is to low file the front sight down a little shoot again repeat the procedure till you hitting dead on.heres a part no from tracks.if you dont like the siver you can use sight black to stop the glare, hope this helps.
