A quicky trigger "marrying" as ML McPherson calls it in the Handi section of his book "Accurizing the Factory Rifle", is to cock the hammer and apply about 20lbs force on it while pulling the trigger, repeat 20 times. A not of caution tho, several members have broke the sear notch off the hammer doing this. Be sure to cushion the firing pin with a spent case in the chamber to protect the firing pin. This technique might work sometimes, but I prefer to just do the honing, it's a great opportunity to clean the trigger group, too!! I don't mess with the transfer bar, Raynor's trigger work works for me, but downloading and reading Perklo's trigger hone info helps a great deal in R&R.
