I just acquired a set of Herters 270 FL dies on ebay for $ 7.00 .
anybody know any thing about them?
will they work in my lee press?
all info will be appreciated

I happened up on a set of K Hornet dies. They fit all three of my single stage presses, a Lee, a Lyman Spartan, and an RCBS "O" press. They seem to be good dies and load good ammo. Herter's stuff was pretty good, actually.

Was planning on comparing dimension, but just haven't done it. I will buy them again. Just make sure they weren't abused by a previous owner - some will have scratches.
30-30, 7.65x53 Argie, and 8mm Mauser.

I have four or five sets of Herters dies. They all work in my presses.

Back in the 50's and 60's Herter used to have a different thread diameter and pitch but they switched over to the standard 7/8 inch thread that "everyone" uses. So, unless you got a set of very old dies you will be fine.
