FWIW - Got my decapping tool from Midway today, it has been on back order for a while. Just to let folks know that Midway has them in stock again. Need to go to the range now and shoot some brass to decap.

Here is my Berdan decapping tool.  Not sure what it cost.  It's just a broken drill bit I had laying around.  Works great though.  Now if I could just find a good source for Berdan primers.

Jack - Yup, I've got the same problem. Once I decap the next batch, I won't have any Berdan primers to replace them with. Am still looking for a source.

For now the only Berdan primed brass I reload for is my K31's 7.5x55 Swiss.  I still have about 700 Berdan primers left.  I have some good 8mm brass that I want to reload for too but have to wait on them until my supply of Berdan primers improves.

I keep in touch with Graf&Sons, they keep telling me they will be carrying the Berdan primers but not as of yet.  If I hear of a source I will post it here.

Jack - I do have one source: PMC @ 1-800-456-9182. They are selling 5,000 primers for $61.00 plus S&H plus Hazmat, about $100!!! You need to speak to Diane at that number.

I'd be interested in splitting an order with someone.

Buck

Thanks for the info.  The PMC Berdan primers is what I have now.  If I am not mistaken Graf&Sons were suppose to start selling the PMC.  I have had good luck with the PMC primers.

I just bought some CCI large rifle primers and at the price I paid per pack of 100($2.00) the cost of the Berdan primers would be exactly the same.
