Dillon 550 question - help needed

After a couple years, I've set up my 55oagain now the the new gun room is done.  Remounted it but it seems to have something  amiss.  Pulling the handle actuates everything except the powder bar.  The rod the connects the powder bar assebly to the black tray which rises with the oplatform doesn't seem to do anything now.  It's connected at the top to the gold colored lever which actuates the powderbar.  At the lower part there's the blue plastci tensioner, above that a spring and then a small plastic washer which doesn't seem to do anything.  Isn't this suppoed to lock onto the black tray and move with the whole assebly?  Would a simple nut here do the trick.  Tried e-mailing Dillon but get vauge responses.  Anyone have any good picyutes showing this are of their 550?  
  I appreciate any helpful info.  I'm anxious to get back up and running especially not I'm loading some .357 max loads.  8)

You must have an empty brass cartridge case in the shell plate below the powder charge bar. The cartridge case actuates the mechanism and drops the powder into the empty primed sized case. Call Dillion for a manual or a video tape or they are very helpful over the phone or pm me since I have had a 550 since 1990.

The Dillon tech support guys are very helpful in matters like this. If you continue to be confused by it, give them a call and they'll get you all fixed up.

 i realize the case must be in the machine to have a charge dropped, but that shouldn't effect the powder bar from moving horizonatally.  That's the issue with mine.  looking at a couple pics on Dillon's site, it appears I don't have what seems to be a knurled nut on the verticle rod that connects to the powder bar actuator.

The linkage rod to the shell plate holder is only to reset the powder measure, not to activate it. In other words, it makes sure that the PM is only reset if you completely cycle the press (with the shell plate all the way to the bottom).

Their manuals are online on their website, and show what it should work like.
