Cannon Spotting in Florida
« on: June 03, 2006, 03:58:19 AM »
I found these while sightseeing before my cousin’s wedding last weekend.  They are located in a small park in Fort Pierce.  From the looks of them they were submerged for quite some time before being put on display.  There was no plaque to identify them or give any information.  If any one knows the history of these cannons please share.

Sorry for not having a powder can in the pictures.  They really don’t like it when you bring a can of black powder on an airplane full or empty.

Well, there's "proof-positive" - Don't mount your cannons on salt licks like they did. They'll rust up real bad!  :)
