Need advice on bases for 338

Is there any reason not to use the aluminum 2 piece weaver bases on my new 338 win mag?? I plan to use burris signature zee rings with a Leupold 1.5-5 scope. Will these weaver bases stand the recoil of the 338 win mag???

22 years with Weaver bases on my Ruger M-77 in .338 Win Mag.  No problem yet.  In fact most of my guns have Weaver Bases and I locktite the screws down.  Have never had a problem any of the bases.

Everyone has favorites,  I like Weaver Grand Slam bases and Leupold quick release  rings.(both all steel)  I have used them on heavy hitters with no problems.  I like the quick release because I can remove the scope and use open sights or use a second scope if needed that is pre-zeroed (set-up ahead of time with same type rings and zero)  These rings return to zero or very close.  As mention before locktite everything.  The Ruger rings are also very good if you get Ruger type bases.

Question for you 338 owners.  How low can you load down the 338?  can it be brought down to '06 loads, like equal to heavy 180gr '06 loads?

Going to rebarrel my Savage '06 to maybe a 338-06 or MAYBE 338 Win Mag if it can be tamed down some.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
