I've got openings the last two weeks of Sept of '03 for anyone interested in tackling brown bear in Western AK.
The 7 day hunt takes place in units 17 or 19 and will either be from our base camp on the Mulchatna River or from a spike camp set up with our supercub. It's largely dependant on where we've scouted bears during the time of the hunt.
The hunt area is approximately 200 miles from the Ocean, on the Mulchatna River and bears range in size from 7-9 feet.
Last year's success rate was 9 brown bears for 10 hunters.
Hunt cost is $7,000 all-inclusive from Marabou Landing, AK and DOES NOT include license, tag, charter flight($600).
