Mercury recoil reducors
« on: June 04, 2006, 04:39:52 AM »
Hey guys,

I am now leaning towards an encore with the standard walnut stock, and was wondering what brand of merc. recoil reducors you guys use, and where the best pace is to buy them.  After consulting various sites,  I see that the best recoil reduction for an encore is the combination of the merc. recoil reducors, and a simms limbsaver pad.  Any info on these topics would be great.

thanks,
vanbuzen9

Here is what I use. http://www.mercuryrecoil.com/suppressors/index.htm#top

I also use a simms pad on the stock.  :D

I have an Encore 209x50 and 308. I put a Boyds laminated stock on it and a Limbsaver pad. I think Its a very comfortable gun to shoot in both configurations. In my opinion I'd try just the Limbsaver pad. It tamed the recoil enough especially on the 209x50 that I was happy and didn't seek anymore recoil reduction.

I use the Mercury recoil reducor on a 416 Rigby Encore barrel. Alot more recoil than a 209X50 barrel.  :D
