Anyone have a Simmons Whitetail Classic scope and care to share any opinions good or bad about it.  I would be mounting it on my .223 Ultra.

I have a WTC18, a little on the heavy side, thick reticle and the krinkle finish is kinda crude, but other than that, it's a great scope, clear and crisp resolution to the edge of the glass, adjustments are precise, made in the Philippines. And when you consider they only cost $100, it's one of the few great bargains in optics.

I have the 2-10x model. It's got pretty good glass, though the field of view isn't very wide. And it is a tad long and heavy.
Tim, how is the field of view on the high power model?

I have a 6.5x20x50 Simmons WTC on my bull barrelled .223 Handi and it's the best scope I have ever had for that money. I would buy another without hesitation....<><....

I have several 6.5-20 WTCs and love them all.  Clear, very durable, a bargain, and great warranty.  I have one on my 223, 270, 45-70, and soon on the 35 whelen.

Thanks to all.  I ordered it this mourning from Midway.  The scope I have on my 223 Ultra isn't much(cheap)so this has to be an improvement.  The only bad thing I have heard that I might not like is the thick reticle.  Which goes along with what Tim mentioned.  I assume I will have to get some tall rings.  Thanks again.
