New Laminate stock?

When I was out playing at my local shop yesterday, I came across a NEF 12ga with a straight stock that looked similar to the red hornet stock with the NEF circular logo burned into it.  This was a new gun.  Is this a special edition stock or is this something that has been setting in a back room somewhere for a while?   Never seen this one.  Any help?

I know that a limited run of Laminated stocks where made for orginizations such as the Rocky Mountain Elk and Turkey Federation. These sometimes have a burned insignia on them or a medalion in the buttstock.
