« on: June 07, 2006, 04:26:58 PM »
I am thinking about buying a new Ultra Varmet Fluted 22-250 with the 24" bull barrel.
Dose any one on here have one of these rifles, or have any 22-25 in a NEF rifle. How dose it group at 100 yds Or any thing you can tell me about the 22-250 NEF. I plan to reload for this rifle when I get it. Thanks Oldsnow

If you check out a search on it you will find several hits. Not many seem to post about their 22-250's for some reason, as I have always been interested to hear about it like you. I know 218Bee has got his shoot'n good, but I always keep an open ear to anyone shooting a 22-250 Handi. It's just a great  Varmint caliber.
Here are a couple to get you going:

 I purchased my NEF 22-250 back around deer season primarily because it was at Walmart and I didn't have an H&R/NEF in that caliber. I too am a true Handi-holic! I am using full length resized WW cases, 50 grain Hornady V-MAX bullets, CCI LR primers, and IMR 4064 (don't remember how many grains off the top of my head). I am shooting one large hole at 100 yds.

I have killed p-dogs at 400 yards with my 22-250.  I love it, almost as much as my wife.  (acording to guy code You cannot repeat what you have just read)   :)
