Obviously, the lack of weight, copper is not very dense, will cheat you of down range preformance, but the idea of the bullet coming apart into several sections... thrilling...
Mr. Keith wrote of casting pistol bullets with a cigarette paper across the mold so that there were two distinct halves only slightly held together. They had to be very carefully loaded. On firing the halves came apart and you had two holes in the target. Mr. Corbin has swage dies to make parts for multiple piece lead bullets... His ebooks are also available on that site and go into some of the more "off" bullet designs... luck
