I agree and feel the same about fishing tournaments. I see both as VERY bad for the sport.

I dont like the idea either. For 2 reasons, one people dont get a good idea of what hunting is really about. The friends you meet, the fresh air that you breath in while a long hunt, the pain you endor will hunting a animal, the feeling of cooking up a kill and eating it with you family, the hours you spend preparing and talking about previous hunting experiences. All I would think that this competition would show about the sport is How some head honcho experienced hunters bag a animal.... i mean for one not everyone gets to go to some nice ranch to hunt or not everyone has as much experience as these hunters do, there is fun in learning over years and getting better at the sport. Also they tranquilize the animal.... how cheesy. I like to watch hunting videos on OLN but i dont want to see a WHA.

That's the stupidest crap I've ever heard.  Make an animal suffer for the sole reason of sport?  That is sick.  I'm an avid hunter/fisherman, but I always eat what I kill, it's a sport, not a game, that is why we aren't in the arena of major sporting events, because those are all games.  These people need to go and find themselves a good dart board if they want to play games with sharp objects.
