I sent my Encore frame to the censored person for a trigger job and he did a fine job on it.

Trigger for Encore

Hello GrimJim,

Do yourself a favor and consider this gunsmith.  He is hired on occasion by the T/C folks to 'smith for them at certain shooting events and knows Contenders, G2s and Encores better than anyone I know, including the person who's name gets censored here.

You won't go wrong with this gentleman, and you don't pay until after you have received the trigger back and you're satisfied with it - where else does that happen?  That alone should speak volumes about his work.  He has done about 15 or so triggers for me, Contenders, G2s and Encore.  As long as he is alive, no one else will get a single penny of my trigger-job money.  He is generally the least expensive person you will find to do the work also.

I hope this is helpful.  Safe and good shooting to you!   :D

If I had a dollar for every time I wanted another Contender or Encore, I'd have about $855,627,452,918

javelina

thanks for the info. i printed it out for future use. i was just trying to share some info with people in case they wanted to try doing a trigger job themselves. didn't know about the falling out here, i'm relatively new to this site.
i built up a 10-22 recently and am really getting the gunsmith bug, so when i saw the free instructions on the trigger job i just wanted to share.
thanks again,
jim

I sent my new G2 to E. Arthur Brown in Alexandria, Minnesota.
 https://www.eabco.com/tcref.html

They usually have a one week turn-around time, but the gunsmith went on vacation so mine took about 2 weeks.  It came back with a lot better / lighter trigger pull.  They charged $55 for labor and the total with shipping and sales tax came to about $61.

They also sell barrels, stocks, etc. for T/C
