How does Rem 700 extract and eject cases?

How does the Remington model 700 extract and eject cases? I've looked at the mechanism and it does't seem like it should work,but it does.

Very good :grin:

The Extractor in the bolt head is force over the case rim as the bolt is rotated close.  When the bolt is open and drawn back the case is pulled back by the Extractor, the Ejector Pin which is powered by the Ejector Spring forces the case out of the action.  The Ejector Pin is refered to as the plunger by some.
There is a learning process to effectively using a gps.  Do not throw your compass and map away!
